Loans supporting establishment of businesses

Loans supporting establishment of businesses

Start-up loan

A start-up loan is meant for a founding shareholder/partner of
a new enterprise to enable payment of capital or to increase capital
during the first two years of operations.
A start-up loan cannot exceed 80% of the borrower’s contribution
to the capital investment, and Kera’s share is up to 50% of the
total. The interest rate is more favourable than in normal loans.

Micro-loan

A micro-loan is a product developed especially for small businesses
being set up, which offer employment to less than five people.
This loan can be granted to all enterprises regardless of their
legal form.
A micro-loan cannot exceed FIM 100,000 (ECU 17,132). The interest
rate is lower than on normal loans.

Boosting equity capital

Kera grants funds to boost equity capital, mainly through its
subsidiaries and associated companies. For example, Start Fund
of Kera Oy, Matkailunkehitys Nordia Oy and regional funds linked
to technology centres specialize in such venture capital operations.
The main products are share capital investments and convertible
bonds.
In special cases, Kera can itself grant finance for enterprises
to strengthen their equity capital.

Other financing

Kera also grants absolute guarantees as security for credits granted
to enterprises by other financiers. Our guarantee operations are
expanding to cover service businesses as well.
Our product range also includes short-term credits and factoring.
